Antique Advertising Crawford & Sons Biscuits Tin Lithograph Shop Shelf Signs
Early 20th Century
A pair of metal advertising shelf strips for William Crawford & Sons biscuits. These strips would have been used within a grocery store during the early to mid 20th Century to advertise, showcase and label the biscuits on offer.
One sign reads "Crawford's Original Butter Puffs" while the other days "Crawford's City Assorted". Both strips have a deep red background with yellow w/ gold lettering which contrasts beautifully to catch the eye.
The strips are designed at a 90 degree angel so they can sit on a shelf or display rack meaning they would look great with a collection of other advertising tins / memorabilia, on a kitchen shelf or dresser to add character to a home interior or within a retro style confectionery store or cafe.
A wonderful collectors item or home accent to create charm and characterful decor.
Dimensions: 48.6cm x 6cm
Condition: Good order with typical age and use related surface scratches. Still nice eligible adverting writing.
