A delightful piece of early 20th century retail history, this antique wooden display box once held sweet treats from the legendary Cadbury's - one of Britain's most iconic and pioneering chocolate manufacturers.
This crate is advertising Cadbury's dairy milk and the inside of the crate lid has a printed advertising piece depicting an illustration of an elf pouring milk. The side of the crate also reads "Cadbury's Milk Chocolate".
Likely used on a shop counter or behind a sweetshop display.
Made from sturdy pine with paper labelling, the box has acquired a rich aged patina, with signs of use that only add to its authentic charm.
