A nice example of a late 19th to early 20th century Brown & Polson's Corn Flour shop display box.
Manufactured from pine with paper labelling.
Brown & Polson was a well know Scottish food company famous for introducing patent cornflower to the UK market in the mid 19th century.
The crate has a paper label featuring their diamond logo and text reading "70 years World-Wide reputation" and quality guarantees. Would have originally been displayed countertop in a shop the stocked the flour.
Now a lovely collectors item or display piece. Would look great displayed in a kitchen while great holding kitchen utensils or other small kitchen items.
Dimensions: 38.5cm x 18cm x Height 16cm
Condition: In well used antique order with some loss to the paper label.
