Antique Advertising - 1940s Art Deco Countertop Mannequin Head Hat Shop Display
Circa late 40s / early 50s
A wonderful example of a shop countertop mannequin head.
Typical Art Deco in style.
Depicting a female with blue eyes and heavy striking make up.
Fitted to a wooden plinth base on a revolving stand that rotates 360.
These now make for highly sort after interior design pieces.
This was manufactured for Edna Wallace of New Bond Street, Mayfair, London.
Used in the Haute Couture department store of Madame Ann Corbett Ltd, Albion Street, Leeds.
Is would have been provided to the Leeds store by Edna Wallace for the department shop to model a range of their hats on.
Height 50cm
Base - 29cm X 16.5cm
Condition - Good.
Stands freely.
Lots of old light scuffs marks from typical industry use.
