Antique Advertising - 1930s Six Waxed Paper Cartons with Lids for Jellied Eels

Six waxed paper cartons, complete with their original lids. Designed in red and white printed wording and illustrations, the cartons read "Jellied Eels" and "Fresh Daily Take A Carton Home With You" running along the bottom.
The cartons are detailed and show a sea bed illustration and an eel on the front. The back also reads how it is a "nourishing food" with "essential vitamins" while promoting how it has been "Hygienically packed".
The base is marked showing they were made by "Geemanco Liverpool".
Originally used during the 1930's to promote and sell jellied eels, a favoured food of the time.
Wonderful collectors, kitchenalia item that would look great displayed in a kitchen, vintage style interior or retro style cafe / fish and chip shop.
