Mid 20th Century
A vintage home shoe shining stool and foot rest which would have offered space to comfortably clean shoes and footwear.
The stool features a ridged rubber top surface and side compartments to the base for storing shoe polish, brushes and other tools.
Designed for comfort and practicality, this stool would have been a common feature in shoe shops, homes and cobblers.
The base has the makers mark label which reads "Shoe Cleaning Homeshine Compactum - A Temple Product" along with the patent number 605504 UK.
Sturdy design and a lovely aged patina, this now makes a great interior piece or fitting. Would look wonderful in a porch / entrance hall or in a vintage style shoe shop or shoe repair shop.
Also a good prop for shows and theatre performances.

Condition: Good useable order with minor age and use marks.
