A wonderful piece of Great Western Railway (GWR) station history, this wooden wall mounted ticket holder cabinet would originally have been used for organising and dispensing railway tickets at an office or counter.
The cabinet is constructed in wood with a warm finish and a tambour front. Internally, it retains five ticket racks, each divided into individual compartments, allowing the tickets to be kept in order and easily accessible.
The front of the racks retain old handwritten / painted numbering and markings.
The cabinet is designed to be wall mounted and would make a great addition to a collection of GWR or British collections, while also displaying beautifully in a hobby room, study, office or shop.
The cabinet has its brass ware that reads GWR plus comes with a padlock on latch.
A great decorative, functional piece that would be a welcomed addition to any collection.
