A wonderful and highly decorative Antique 19th Century French Cast Iron Linen, Towel or Glove Press.
This impressive piece of antique French machinery would originally have been used for pressing and finishing textiles, most likely linen, towels or gloves. Beautifully constructed from heavy cast iron which has been later painted in the bold blue colour giving it a superb industrial appearance.
No longer simply a utilitarian machine, today it makes a fabulous decorative statement piece and would be ideal for an industrial, country-house or French-inspired interior.
