Antique 19th Century Black Leather & Brass Jewellery Trinket Storage Box c.1880
A charming antique jewellery box.
The black leather bound box features hinged lift up lid and drop down front revealing a pull out drawer. On the lid is a metal brass plaque that is engraved "Presented to Miss Davison by the Mothers of Her Meeting Haslingben September 1888". This box would have been presented as a gift to the member of the group and shows lovely social history.
Inside is lined in a beautiful sage green colour with studded padded lid and quilted lining. The box features a pull out storage tray with sectioned compartments ideal for jewellery and small trinkets.
A lovely item to sit tabletop and hold jewellery, keepsakes and trinkets.
The box does have a lock but no key.

Condition: Good with minor surface wear typical of age. No key. No damage to mirror inside.
