Mounted on display stand. 

Festival of Britain interest. 
The Festival of Britain was a national exhibition and fair that reached millions of visitors throughout the United Kingdom in the summer of 1951. The Festival of Britain also included the HMS Campainia - A Second World War escort aircraft carrier that after service was converting into a travelling exhibition for the 1951 Festival. 
Its is likely this model was made to replicate the ship and its use of this period. 

This wonderful item is a remarkable piece that showcases the artistry of the time. 
Ideal to display in your conservatory or living room overlooking your garden pond.
These now also make for super popular shop window sets.

Condition - Good. 
Displays in nice order on stand. 
A couple of the strings are broken but could easily be replaced with new string.
