Antique 1920s Wooden Oak "EBOR" Skirt Marker Haberdashery Dressmakers Tool

An oak skirt marker branded "Ebor" and bearing the registration number 681898 which corresponds to the year 1921.
The marking tool stands on a wooden oak bade and opens for dressmakers to accurately measure hemlines by pressing fabric against the spring ruler. The ruler has numbered 1 inch divisions for measuring the hem heights ensuring a straight and even finish.
The top of the ruler part reads 'The "EBOR" skirt marker' with the registration number below.
