Antique 1930s Brown Leather Chesterfield Sofa Chair / Button Back / Two Seater
Circa 1930
Crafted in the United Kingdom during the 1930s, this genuine antique Chesterfield sofa exudes timeless elegance and comfort.
Its rich brown leather upholstery is classic, showcasing the distinctive button-back design that is synonymous with the Chesterfield brand. This wonderful & classic design makes it a snug and inviting addition to any room, effortlessly blending with various decors from the traditional to the contemporary.
We have not undertaken any restoration work on this piece apart from a light moth repellant wash and applied a very light clear wax finish. The sofa appears in completely original order but has had later added caster wheels fitted to the base for easier movement.
There are lots of tiny moth holes in places, mainly to the back rest and arms which is why we treated it with a repellent wash. This was done just as a precaution and the holes appear to be historic with no evidence of recent activity. The holes are very small and visible only upon close inspections. Please see last image.
The leather is the original so at close to 100 years old, please don't expect this to be like brand new. Its a well worn antique chair.
